OnePlus is gearing up for the global launch of its much-awaited OnePlus 12 on January 23 with a simultaneous launch in India and other key markets, which is building excitement. Positioned as an affordable option, the OnePlus 12R is also set to make its mark alongside its flagship counterpart.
Already making waves in China, the OnePlus 12 boasts a powerhouse of features, running on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and powered by a robust 5,400mAh battery supported by lightning-fast 100W wired SuperVOOC charging. Anticipation has run high ahead of the global launch, especially in India, as tech enthusiasts eagerly await the chance to experience the device firsthand.
The live launch is scheduled on January 23 at 7:30 pm, against the backdrop of the ‘Smooth Beyond Belief’ event at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. OnePlus is offering community tickets for the event, available starting January 3 with reservations. Via PayTM Insider and OnePlus.in. Red Cable Club (RCC) members enjoy 50% discount on ticket booking through OnePlus.in, although exact pricing details are unknown.
Attendees of the launch event will be given an exclusive preview of both the OnePlus 12 and the more budget-friendly One-Plus 12R, which is rumored to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The global release outside China on the same day further increases the anticipation around these devices.
The OnePlus 12, unveiled in China earlier this month, has a number of impressive features, including a 6.82-inch Quad-HD+ LTPO OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Running on Android 14-based ColorOS 14, it is powered by a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and has up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The Hasselblad-tuned triple rear camera setup, coupled with a 32-megapixel front camera, promises an exceptional photography experience. The device packs a large 5,400mAh battery, which supports 100W SuperVOOC charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

As for the One-Plus 12R, expectations are high with it rumored to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The triple rear camera setup is tipped to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera. It is all expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
